iDVD

We have created a DVD menu for our trailer via iDVD on the Apple Macs. The menu was an ancillary task which we wanted to include in order making our production look more realistic and authentic. iDVD was completely new to us and it didn’t take long for us to understand how it works. We found some outstanding features within iDVD which we have used and also included links to extras and the credits in order to make an authentic DVD menu. All of the links have been tried and tested and they now all work together. As well as this the menu is extremely easy to navigate around.

There were numerous layouts to choose from and various colours. This meant that we could customise the menu to the way that we wanted. As our film website and DVD cover follows similar colours because of the film genre, we used the same colours to keep consistency and to portray to genre to the audience.

Overall, I feel that the DVD menu for our film which was made through iDVD is very realistic and works very well with the genre. We are happy with the end product of this ancillary task.

  1. Yes, I agree, the menu for your teaser trailer is effective and maintains a cohesive style with the rest of your ancillary products. Well done.
